Semenax guide · How to take itHow to Take Semenax: 4 Capsules or 8? A Practical 60-Day Plan
The bottle says four capsules a day. The clinical trial behind Semenax used eight. This guide explains the difference, helps you pick a schedule, and gives you a simple 60-day plan for judging whether it’s working — timed so you don’t miss the refund deadline.
Take two capsules with breakfast and two with dinner, every day, for at least two months. The trial used double that; if you want to match it, talk to a doctor first and budget for twice as many bottles.
- Bottle: 4 a day
- Trial: 8 a day
- Take with meals
- Judge at 2 months

Quick answers
- How many: four capsules a day per the bottle — two in the morning, two in the evening.
- When: with meals. The trial’s most common side effects were stomach-related.
- How long: at least two months. That’s when the trial measured its result.
- The catch: the trial used eight a day. At that dose, a bottle lasts 15 days instead of 30.
- The deadline: decide by about day 50 and ship any return by day 60.
The two doses, side by side
Semenax’s official site doesn’t print the directions in text, but the bottle — as reported by retailers and independent reviewers — says two capsules in the morning and two at night, with food. The published trial is clear that participants took four capsules twice a day.
| Bottle directions | Clinical trial | |
|---|---|---|
| Morning | 2 capsules | 4 capsules |
| Evening | 2 capsules | 4 capsules |
| Per day | 4 capsules | 8 capsules |
| One bottle (120) lasts | 30 days | 15 days |
| Bottles for 2 months | 2 | 4 |
| Evidence it works at this dose | Not directly tested | Tested: about +0.5 ml on average |
Capsules per day.
Which dose should you take?
Option A: follow the bottle (4 a day)
This is the manufacturer’s own direction and the cheaper option — $1.11 to $1.97 a day depending on the package. The honest limitation: nobody has published a trial at this dose, so you’re taking half of what was shown to work. It might still help; the evidence just doesn’t tell you how much.
Option B: match the trial (8 a day)
This is the dose with evidence behind it, and in the trial it was about as well tolerated as the placebo over two months. It also doubles the cost — $2.22 to $3.93 a day — and there’s no safety data beyond those two months. Because it’s above the label’s directions, check with a doctor before choosing it, especially if you take any regular medication.
Our practical suggestion. Start at the bottle’s four a day for the first week to see how your stomach handles it. If you then want to follow the trial dose, discuss it with your doctor — and remember that at eight a day, the two opened bottles the refund covers last about a month, not two.
A daily routine that’s easy to keep
- Tie it to meals. Two capsules with breakfast, two with dinner. Food may reduce the acidity and stomach discomfort a few trial participants reported.
- Keep the bottle where you eat, not in a bathroom cabinet. Out of sight is out of mind.
- Drink water with each dose. Seminal fluid is mostly water, so staying hydrated helps on its own.
- Missed a dose? Take it with your next meal if it’s the same day; otherwise skip it. Don’t double up the next day.
- Use a phone reminder for the first two weeks until it becomes habit.
Your 60-day plan
The trial checked participants at day 30 and day 60 and reported its main result at two months. This plan follows the same rhythm and keeps you inside the refund window, which starts on the day your order is delivered.
- Before day 1 — Set a baseline. Note how things are now, under normal conditions (see “How to judge it” below). Write down the delivery date.
- Days 1–7 — Settle in. Four capsules a day with meals. Watch for stomach upset.
- Days 8–30 — Keep going. Don’t judge yet. Keep the other factors steady.
- Day 30 — First check. Compare with your baseline under the same conditions. Note it, but don’t decide.
- Days 31–49 — Second bottle. At four a day, you’re now on bottle two — the last one the refund covers if opened.
- Day 50 — Decide. Compare again. If you’re not seeing a difference, contact support now about a return.
- Day 60 — Last day to ship a return. The package must arrive by day 67.
If you’re taking eight a day, you’ll finish two bottles around day 30. The refund still only covers two opened bottles, so make your decision before you open a third.
How to judge whether it’s working
Semen volume naturally varies a lot from one day to the next, which is why one in six men on placebo in the trial still saw a 20%+ “increase”. To make a fair comparison, keep the conditions the same each time you check:
- Same gap since the last ejaculation. This is the biggest factor. Volume rises with a longer gap and falls with frequent ejaculation. Pick a gap — say three days — and stick to it for every check.
- Same hydration and alcohol. Don’t compare a well-hydrated day with a hungover one.
- Same time of day, if you can.
- Write it down. A simple note after each check beats memory. Rough is fine, as long as it’s consistent.
Set your expectations by the trial: the average gain was about half a millilitre — roughly a tenth of a teaspoon — and about half the men reached a 20% increase. A modest, steady change is a realistic success. If nothing at all has changed by day 50, you’re probably in the half that doesn’t respond.
Taking Semenax with other things
| Combination | What to know |
|---|---|
| VigRX Plus | Same maker, often bundled. Not tested together, and they share herbs such as hawthorn, catuaba, muira puama and tribulus. |
| Blood thinners or blood-pressure medication | Pine bark, hawthorn and arginine can affect circulation. Ask your doctor first. |
| ED medication or nitrates | Ask your doctor before combining. |
| Prostate medication (tamsulosin, finasteride, dutasteride) | These can reduce ejaculate volume themselves — talk to your prescriber about that first. |
| Alcohol | No known direct interaction, but heavy drinking is linked with poorer semen quality. |
When to stop
In the trial, the side effects judged probably related to Semenax were acidity, abdominal pain and bloating; one headache was judged possibly related. All were mild or moderate and went away. Stop and speak to a doctor if you have persistent stomach pain, a rash, swelling, a racing heart or anything else unusual. And if you notice pain or blood with ejaculation, or a sudden drop in volume, see a doctor rather than adjusting the dose — those need checking.
Frequently asked questions
How many Semenax pills should I take a day?
The bottle says four — two in the morning and two in the evening, with meals. The clinical trial used eight a day.
Should I take Semenax with food?
Yes. The directions say to take it with meals, and the trial’s most common side effects were stomach-related.
How long does Semenax take to work?
The trial reported its result after two months. Give it at least that long, but decide by about day 50 if you may want a refund.
Can I take all four capsules at once?
The directions split them across two meals, as did the trial. Taking all four together hasn’t been tested, and splitting them may be easier on the stomach.
What happens if I stop taking Semenax?
There’s no published data on what happens after stopping. It’s reasonable to expect any effect to fade over time, since it isn’t a permanent change.
Is it safe to take Semenax every day long term?
Unknown. The only trial lasted two months. If you plan to take it longer, check in with your doctor.
